Planned Spaces and Daily Spaces in the City of Rahat in the Negev

Omer Golan-Joel

Recived M.A in 2013. This research aims to find the similarities and the differences between the perceptions of Rahat's residents on their town based on their day-to-day experiences and the perceptions of the city's original planners on their visions of the planning of the town. The methodology of the three steps CT Mapping analysis (Fenster, 2009) will be used to compare these perceptions. Based on earlier research, it is hypothesized that significant differences will be found, especially in relation to the effects of densely populated urban construction on the traditional Bedouin society.
